Simply mark the Power Play box located on the left side of the POWERBALL playslip. Power Play will apply to all panels and Quick Pick boxes you have marked on the playslip. Power Play costs $1 more per play, so check your selections carefully before giving the playslip to the retailer. If you tell the retailer your POWERBALL selections, make sure to ask for Power Play.

At any Florida Lottery retail location, you can either mark your selections on a POWERBALL playslip or tell the retailer the numbers you wish to play. On the playslip, select five numbers from 1 to 69 in the upper play area and one Powerball number from 1 to 26 in the lower play area. You may Quick Pick some or all of your numbers by marking the QP box in the upper and/or the lower play areas of the playslip. Make your selections carefully, because POWERBALL TICKETS CANNOT BE CANCELED.

Power Play will apply to all plays on a POWERBALL ticket. POWERBALL with Power Play tickets will display "POWER PLAY YES" and POWERBALL tickets with no Power Play will display "POWER PLAY NO."

In the official POWERBALL drawing conducted by MUSL, five white balls (numbered 1 through 69) and one Powerball (numbered 1 through 26) are randomly selected. Players win the jackpot by matching, in any order, the five numbers drawn from the first set of balls and the Powerball drawn from the second set. Players also win other great POWERBALL prizes, ranging from $4 up to $1 million, by matching non-jackpot winning combinations.

Prior to the POWERBALL drawing, a Power Play multiplier number is randomly selected and displayed during the draw. Players who added Power Play to their purchase will increase their winnings on the third through ninth prize levels by the multiplier number selected for that draw.

On drawing nights, you will be able to purchase POWERBALL tickets until game sales close at 10:00 p.m. ET. MUSL requires adequate time to ensure that the draw data has been securely received from all 47 member lotteries before the POWERBALL drawing is held at 10:59 p.m. ET. There will be a 5-minute sales break between 10:00 p.m. and 10:05 p.m. ET on the night of the POWERBALL drawings, and sales after 10:05 p.m. ET will be for the next drawing.

MUSL requires two weeks to receive wire transfers of funds from all 47 POWERBALL members, so the earliest you may receive your POWERBALL jackpot prize is on the 15th day after the winning drawing date.

The match 5 prize is $2 million. All other non-jackpot prizes are increased by the multiplier number (2, 3, 4, or 5) randomly selected just before each draw. The multiplier number 10 is included when the advertised jackpot is $150 million or less.

POWERBALL tickets cost $2 per play. POWERBALL with Power Play tickets cost $3 per play.

POWERBALL numbers are drawn from two sets of numbers, so the odds of winning are calculated by combining the odds for both sets of numbers for all prize levels. The odds for matching just the Powerball are calculated by combining the odds of selecting the Powerball and the odds of not selecting any of the five numbers from the first set of numbers drawn.

The $2 million Power Play prize will be a one-time cash payment less applicable taxes.

The overall odds of winning a prize are 1 in 24.9 and the odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292,201,338.

The POWERBALL annuity prize will go into the deceased winner's estate. Annual prize payments can continue to be paid to heirs, or the annuity may be cashed out by the winner's estate.

At the end of the winning state's claim period (180 days in Florida), the funds to pay a jackpot that goes unclaimed will be returned to the lottery members in their proportion of sales for the jackpot rollover series.

In Florida, 80 percent of all unclaimed jackpot prizes are transferred to the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund to benefit education in the state.

POWERBALL players can add Power Play for $1 more per play to multiply their winnings. With Power Play, players can win $2 million for matching five white balls or multiply their other non-jackpot prizes by 2X, 3X, 4X, or 5X. When the advertised jackpot is $150 million or less, a 10X multiplier will also be added. A player must choose the Power Play option on their POWERBALL playslip or tell the retailer that they wish to purchase a Power Play ticket. The multiplier number will be randomly selected just before the draw.

POWERBALL is an exciting, multi-state, multi-million-dollar jackpot game. It is a product of the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL) and is offered in 48 lottery jurisdictions (including Florida). For a complete list of states that offer POWERBALL visit www.powerball.com. All POWERBALL member lotteries contribute a percentage of sales to a shared top-prize pool so jackpots can grow to hundreds of millions of dollars. The game's starting jackpot is $20 million and is the largest in the world. POWERBALL has nine prize levels with lower-tier prizes ranging from $4 to $1 million - and up to $2 million with Power Play®.

POWERBALL ticket sales in Florida began on January 4, 2009.

Florida POWERBALL tickets expire 180 days from the winning drawing date, just like all other terminal games offered by the Florida Lottery.

You can catch the POWERBALL drawings on official Florida Lottery TV carrier stations in major markets throughout Florida. Carrier stations will air the drawings either live or within minutes of the live drawings, or display the winning numbers onscreen following each drawing. Viewing times will vary by station. POWERBALL drawings may also be viewed via Webcasts on this website.

All funds for unclaimed POWERBALL non-jackpot prizes stay in the state where the winning tickets were sold.

The advertised POWERBALL jackpot is set by MUSL for each drawing. Jackpots are calculated based on anticipated sales for that drawing, funds rolled over from previous drawings, and current interest rates for long-term investments. For every $2 ticket sold, 34.0066% is allocated to the jackpot pool.

Since you select five numbers from 1 through 69 and one Powerball number from 1 through 26, it is possible to see a repeat number for your Powerball number. The letters "PB" will indicate the Powerball number on your ticket. POWERBALL numbers are drawn from two separate sets of balls in which five white balls and one red Powerball are selected at random.

No. All POWERBALL states use different playslips that work exclusively with their gaming systems.

As with all other games offered by the Florida Lottery, all profits from POWERBALL ticket sales in Florida will be transferred to the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund to benefit education in the state.

Florida Lotto

Yes, with the exception of the jackpot prize, all FLORIDA LOTTO and Double Play prizes are set payouts. For FLORIDA LOTTO with Double Play non-top prize winners, the base prize amount will be multiplied by the multiplier number printed on their ticket at the time of ticket purchase.

No. FLORIDA LOTTO with Double Play tickets CANNOT BE CANCELED.

No. FLORIDA LOTTO with EZmatch tickets CANNOT BE CANCELED.

EZmatch is designed more like a Scratch-Off game than a traditional Draw game, with set prizes and set number of winners at each prize level within a designated pool of tickets pre-loaded into the system. When a player chooses to play EZmatch, the system randomly determines whether that ticket will be an EZmatch winner or a non-winner. When a winner is generated, the system will print a set of EZmatch numbers to match one to six of the FLORIDA LOTTO numbers on the ticket and the pre-determined prize amount.

The EZmatch pool automatically replenishes when all EZmatch top prizes have been won, so there is always a top prize available.

The words "DOUBLE PLAY YES" are printed on all FLORIDA LOTTO with Double Play tickets. Double Play applies to all plays on a FLORIDA LOTTO ticket.

At any Florida Lottery retail location, you can choose your FLORIDA LOTTO numbers, select Quick Pick, or make other play selections by using a new digital playslip, a traditional paper playslip, or by telling the retailer your selections. If using a playslip, select six numbers from 1 to 53 or choose Quick Pick. If you want two chances to win in two drawings, add Double Play for $1 more per play. Double Play will apply to all panels, including Quick Pick selections and Advance Play.

The multiplier number is generated by the Florida Lottery terminal at the time a FLORIDA LOTTO ticket is purchased, much like Quick Pick or EZmatch numbers. The multiplier number will print automatically on the ticket.

Double Play prizes must be claimed within 180 days after the first draw date on the FLORIDA LOTTO with Double Play ticket.

EZmatch prizes can be claimed immediately after purchase—you don't have to wait for the drawing. EZmatch prizes must be claimed within 180 days after the first draw date on the FLORIDA LOTTO with EZmatch ticket.

Those who match five, four, or three winning numbers win other great FLORIDA LOTTO cash prizes ranging from $10 to $30,000. Players who match just two winning numbers win a free FLORIDA LOTTO Quick Pick ticket for the next available draw.

EZmatch is an instant win, add-on feature that is not associated with draws. If you claim an EZmatch prize on a FLORIDA LOTTO ticket before any or all FLORIDA LOTTO drawings on the ticket have occurred, you will be issued a continuation ticket for the FLORIDA LOTTO drawing with the same play numbers as the original ticket; however, the EZmatch numbers will not be printed on the continuation ticket.

For FLORIDA LOTTO with Double Play players, the odds of matching two of six winning numbers are 1 in 8.58 and the overall game odds are 1 in 7.61.

Double Play is a $1 add-on feature that gives players the opportunity to win cash prizes in an additional drawing held immediately following the FLORIDA LOTTO drawing, using the same numbers and multiplier on the FLORIDA LOTTO ticket!

If any of the EZmatch numbers match any of the FLORIDA LOTTO numbers on the ticket, the player instantly wins the prize amount shown. Players can win up to six times with EZmatch numbers on a single ticket. To play, select the EZmatch box on your playslip or tell the retailer to add EZmatch to your ticket purchase.

FLORIDA LOTTO® is the Florida Lottery's flagship draw game that launched on April 29, 1988. Winning

No. Florida Lottery winners cannot remain anonymous. Florida law mandates that the Florida Lottery provide the winner's name, city of residence, game won, date won and amount won to any third party who requests the information; however, Florida Lottery winners' home addresses and telephone numbers are confidential.

No, but the Florida Lottery recommends that players sign the back of all tickets. Signatures are only required for tickets of $600 or more, which must be claimed at a Florida Lottery district office or Headquarters. When a player signs the ticket, it ensures they are the rightful owner of the ticket and are entitled to any prize won on the ticket.

To claim Florida Lottery prizes from out of state, you may fill out the back of your ticket and mail it along with the required documentation*, to the following address:

Claims Processing
Florida Lottery
250 Marriott Drive
Tallahassee, FL 32399-9939

The Florida Lottery's Claims Processing Division will process your ticket and mail you a check for any applicable prize. Federal law prohibits the Florida Lottery from mailing tickets across state lines. Winners redeeming free FLORIDA LOTTO® with XTRA tickets, free JACKPOT TRIPLE PLAY with COMBO™ tickets, free FANTASY 5 tickets, or free scratch-off tickets will receive a check for the retail value of their free ticket prize. Please note: The risk of mailing tickets remains with the player and will not be assumed by the Florida Lottery.

* A completed Winner Claim Form and a photocopy of the required identification are necessary to claim prizes of $600 or more. For more information, visit the How to Claim section of the website.

Bigger prizes take longer to arrange, so the amount of the top prize will affect how long it takes to issue the prize payment. If the prize is less than $250,000, the player may receive the prize payment, less taxes when applicable, the same business day. If the prize amount is over $250,000, the prize payout, less taxes, will be ACH transferred to the winner's bank account within two business days in most instances.

Because POWERBALL and MEGA MILLIONS are multi-state games, the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL) must collect the revenue from each of the 45 jurisdictions that participate in the games before the jackpot prize can be paid. Therefore, POWERBALL and MEGA MILLIONS jackpot prizes are not available until 15 days after the draw date. LIkewise, CASH4LIFE is also a multi-state game, so the participating states have two weeks to receive ACH transfers of funds from all nine CASH4LIFE members. The earliest you may receive your CASH4LIFE top prize is on the 15th day after the winning draw date.

Tickets mailed to the Florida Lottery Headquarters will take approximately 30 days for the claims process. Damaged or disputed tickets, or tickets belonging to winners with state-owed debt may take longer to process.

Players should sign the back of the ticket in the same way they would sign a check or any other legal document.

No. The players must designate one person to sign the ticket on behalf of the group. The Florida Lottery encourages the designated player to sign his/her name along with the group's name.

Prizes may be paid via check or ACH transfer. However, most players with prizes greater than $10,000 choose the security and speed of an ACH transfer, providing immediate use of funds once transferred.

No, but the Florida Lottery recommends that players sign the back of all tickets before mailing them. By signing the ticket, players ensure they are the rightful owner of the ticket.

Florida law requires that 80 percent of unclaimed prize funds from expired tickets be transferred directly to the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund. The remaining 20 percent is returned to the prize pool from which future prizes are awarded or used for special prize promotions.

Should a POWERBALL® or MEGA MILLIONS® jackpot ticket not be claimed within the 180 days of the applicable draw date, the funds to pay the unclaimed jackpot will be returned to the lottery members in their proportion of sales for the jackpot rollover series.

If a jackpot or top prize winner dies before receiving all annual installments, the balance of the prize will be paid to the winner's estate. Upon receipt of a court order, annual prize payments will continue to be paid to the winner's heirs. POWERBALL® and MEGA MILLIONS® jackpot annual payments may be cashed out by the winner's estate.

The cash option is a one-time, lump-sum payment that jackpot winners may choose to receive instead of receiving their winnings in 30 annual payments for FLORIDA LOTTO®, and 25 annual payments for JACKPOT TRIPLE PLAY™. Jackpot winners who want to receive a single cash payment must claim their prize within the first 60 days after the draw date. Applicable federal income tax withholding will be deducted at the time payments are made for cash option and annual payments alike.

The cash option amount is not based on a set percentage, but rather is the amount required on the day of the drawing to purchase securities to fund the announced guaranteed deferred payment value of the jackpot prize paid over 30 years or 25 years, depending on the game. For FLORIDA LOTTO, and JACKPOT TRIPLE PLAY annual payment options, the Florida Lottery will purchase U.S. treasury strips which will guarantee equal payments to the winner over a period of 30 years or 25 years, again depending on the game.

See FLORIDA LOTTO and JACKPOT TRIPLE PLAY game rules for complete details.

The cash option is a one-time, lump-sum payment that jackpot winners may choose to receive instead of receiving their winnings in 30 annual payments for both MEGA MILLIONS® and POWERBALL® games. Jackpot winners who want to elect to receive a single cash payment must claim their prizes within the first 60 days after the draw date. Applicable Federal income tax withholding will be deducted at the time payments are made for single cash payments and annual payments alike.

For POWERBALL, if the jackpot prize is not a guaranteed amount, the cash option amount offered will be the cash amount available in the jackpot prize pool divided by the number of winners. The annual payment option prize will be paid in 30 graduated annual installments.

For MEGA MILLIONS, the cash option amount offered will be the jackpot prize annual payment option amount as determined by the Mega Millions lotteries, divided by a rate established by the Mega Millions Finance Committee prior to each drawing, divided by the total jackpot winning MEGA MILLIONS plays and Just the Jackpot plays. The annual payment option prize will be paid in 30 graduated annual installments.

For CASH4LIFE®, except as provided in the Official Game Rules, a CASH4LIFE top prize winner may choose to receive their portion of a top prize as an annual payment option or in a single cash payment. The top prize must be claimed within the first 60 days after the winning draw to elect the cash option. The annual payment-based prize value paid to a sole winner shall be $1,000 a day for life paid in annual installments of $365,000 based on measuring the life of the winner (no less than 20 years). The cash option amount paid to a sole winner of the top prize will be $7,000,000.

Applicable withholding taxes will be deducted at the time payments are made for single cash payments and annual payments alike.

See POWERBALL, MEGA MILLIONS and CASH4LIFE game rules for complete details.
