TAMPA MAN CLAIMS $50,000 POWERBALL® WITH POWER PLAY® PRIZE TALLAHASSEE - The Florida Lottery today announced that August 19th POWERBALL® with Power Play® winner Bryan Thomas, 46, of Tampa, claimed his $50,000 prize at the Florida Lottery Tampa District Office. Thomas voiced his enthusiasm by stating, "I can afford to send my two children to college now, thanks to the Florida Lottery!" Thomas purchased his winning POWERBALL ticket at Amanav, Inc., located at 4205 W. Kennedy Boulevard in Tampa. POWERBALL jackpots start at $20 million and increase with each rollover. Power Play is an add-on feature to POWERBALL that gives players a chance to win up to $1 million. With the purchase of a POWERBALL ticket players can add Power Play for $1 more per play to multiply their non-jackpot prize winnings. Power Play purchasers who match 5 numbers will win $1 million - the POWERBALL match 5 prize multiplied by 5. All other non-jackpot prizes will be multiplied by the Power Play number, from 2 through 5, selected at draw time.
