DANIELS TRUST CLAIMS $5 MILLION
FLORIDA LOTTO™ JACKPOT

TALLAHASSEE--The Florida Lottery announced today that FLORIDA LOTTO™ winner Daniels Trust, of Fort Myers, claimed the $5 million jackpot drawn on July 25.

The Daniels Trust chose the one-time, lump-sum payment for the winnings in the amount of $2,833,323.33. The trustees of the Daniels Trust are Albert and Patsy Daniels. The winning FLORIDA LOTTO Quick Pick ticket was purchased at Publix, located at 11600 Gladiolus Drive in Fort Myers. The retailer received a bonus incentive of $15,000 for selling the jackpot-winning ticket.

The winning numbers were:

04 - 09 - 10 - 22 - 30 - 50

According to Mrs. Daniels, who is employed by the Publix where the winning ticket was sold, "I was at work and one of my co-workers said the winning ticket was purchased here. It never occurred to me that I had purchased the winning ticket until she actually verified the numbers," Daniels said. The Daniels' plan to invest their winnings but also see more family vacations in their future.

Total ticket sales for this jackpot generated approximately $3 million for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF). Since 1988, the Florida Lottery has contributed more than $19 billion to the EETF, benefiting our students and schools, as well as funding more than one million Bright Futures scholarships. By a two-to-one margin, Florida voters in 1986 approved a constitutional amendment authorizing the state to operate a lottery for the purpose of generating significant additional moneys for education.

The Daniels Trust is the 33rd FLORIDA LOTTO jackpot winner to purchase a winning ticket in Lee County.

The next FLORIDA LOTTO drawing will be held on Wednesday, August 12, at 11:15 p.m. ET with a $11 million base jackpot. Webcasts of Florida Lottery drawings are available on the Lottery's Web site at flalottery.com.
