THE FLORIDA LOTTERY AND VENDOR DIVERSITY

The Florida Lottery shares the enthusiasm and spirit of the Governor's Office and it's commitment to the minority, women owned and service-disabled veteran business community of the State of Florida by demonstrating leadership and innovation in outreach initiatives to successfully ensure full and vibrant participation of diverse businesses in the economic life of the State of Florida.

Diversity has always been among the Florida Lottery's core values. The Lottery has been, and will continue to be a leader in working with the Office of Supplier Diversity (OSD) in outreach efforts to recruit minority firms. Those efforts include:

Implementing creative contracting strategies with the Lottery's Business Partners for increased participation of minority businesses in sub-contracting opportunities.

Consulting frequently with the OSD to develop and implement strategies to increase the participation of minority businesses in the Lottery's procurement system.

Sponsoring and participating in "matchmaking conferences" and other events where minority and service-disabled veteran businesses showcase their offered commodities and/or services.
